Floating Lanterns I

Inspired by the beauty of floating lanterns. Various shapes, sizes… each one not only beautiful, but meaningful. Most of these lanterns have been made by upcycled beads (beads from vintage jewelry that I have taken apart and meticulously cleaned for their new life). This pair also features agate, sunstone, and lapis lazuli crystals for some extra spiritual protection and good vibes. :) 

The cobalt faceted teardrop cradled in the crescents are wire wrapped with tarnish resistant gold wire. Sunburst charm is textured brass. Everything else is gold plated stainless steel with various glass, plastic, and crystal beads.

I really wish I could accurately express my deep love and admiration for floating lanterns. I hope you can feel that through this piece. :) (My brain is pretty mush at the moment writing this). 

The moons are made of polymer clay, with roses sculpted petal by petal, little mushrooms, and a light sheen of spiderweb print in the back. :)
